A Great Word for the Day

Right now I feel like my life is extremely chaotic! There are so many things I want to do, but I have to evaluate whether they are what God has planned for me. As I was studying God’s Word this morning, He led me to Psalm 103:1-5 (I say this because my devotional had a different passage listed – Psalm 131:1-5, but apparently I saw Psalm 103:1-5 so that’s where I turned):

Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name.

Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits –

Who forgives all your sins, and heals all your diseases,

Who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,

Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s (NIV, 1984).

After reading these verses, I felt completely blown away. So many times I forget to just praise Him because I am unloading my list on Him.

I have a desire in my heart that has been there for several years. As I attempt to determine whether to step out and do it, I remember that He tells me that He will satisfy my desires with good things. How incredible!! If I will just let go, do what He wants me doing and trust Him to provide – He will!

How many times have you held on to things strictly for security purposes instead of trusting that He loves you and will take care of what you need? I have done it for way to long…it’s time for a change!!

Living with an eternal perspective

Because of busyness, it is extremely easy to get caught up in the moment – to live for the day. However I Peter 3:13-17 tells us that we are to always be ready to tell others what we believe and why. We as followers of Christ we have a hope that the rest of the world doesn’t believe – we have a kingdom waiting for us that is so much better than the finest this earth has to offer. I want to give a challenge to everyone for today – live today with a your whole focus being, “how will my choice in this matter have an eternal impact.”  Strive to share Jesus with someone – anyone you run into today.  Remember that it’s all a matter of perspective!

Always striving to serve Him!!

Welcome

I am new to this blogging thing. I have seen so many write a blog with much success, and often I have thought how easy it must be. But I am seeing that it is not as easy as it seems. The one point I do want to make about my blog is that it is based on my opinions and beliefs. I will write things and repost items that are important to me while praying that those posts will lead someone to the Lord. It is my prayer that anyone who chooses to read my blog will be inspired to pursue God, improve your marriage and family, and disciple others.

Blessings,

Renee
